The new congregational photo directory has finally arrived! 

45 pages of colored photos and text in a spiral-bound 8″x8″ format.  Unlike the standard binding which always wants to close the books, the spiral binding will allow the pages to lie flat when opened and the size will more conveniently store near your home phone.

The new directories theme: “We Believe, Teach, and Confess.”  As confessional Lutherans of the 21st century, that’s our desire as we gather about His pulpit and font and table  to hear His Word of Christ and Him Crucified and receive His Sacraments in the fellowship of His people, confessing what we’ve been taught and believe as we live out our various vocations in our families and among friends and co-workers in the community.

Directories are available after services this Sunday, February 20, and next Sunday, February 27.  If you DID have a photo taken by Olan Mills, a free copy of the directory has been reserved for you.  You can get it at the “Church Directory Table” which is stationed in the Parish Hall [one copy/family].  If you’re a congregational member, but  DIDN’T have a photo taken for the directory— or, if you became a member after the directory photos were taken— a copy isn’t reserved for you BUT a limited number of extra copies are available on a ‘first come, first served’ basis at the Church Directory Table.  During the week, members may get their copy from the Church Office during office hours.

You’ll enjoy the new directory.  It’s well-organized, contains a lot of excellent photos of friends in Christ and fellow-confessors of the faith, as well as addresses and phone numbers.  And, it has a special section called “Confessors Cameos” …random photos taken of LCOS members and friends by Tom Hynes who, by the way, is —with his wife Linda– to be thanked and commended for coordinating this album of our church family photos.
